San Miguel snaps Talk 'N Text's unbeaten run at three
28 Oct 2009The San Miguel Beermen got off to a fast start and led by as much as 25 points then held off a late rally by the Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters in scoring a 100-90 win in the 2009-2010 PBA KFC Philippine Cup at the Araneta Coliseum.Arwind Santos and Dondon Hontiveros both finished with 17 points and 9 rebounds to pace the Beermen. Mick Pennisi, who hit a big trey to secure the ewin, contributed 15 points and 8 boards while Danny Seigle added 11 points and 5 rebounds as the Beermen won its second straight after losing their first two whil handing the Tropang Texters their first loss in four starts."It feels good to at least have .500 mark, specially with the team facing tough adversity," said San Miguel coach Siot Tanquingcen."Danny I (Ildefonso) is injured again. Mabuti natapat na struggling ang Talk n Text. Mukhang inabot sila ng law of averages after three straight victories. Of course, I'm not taking away the efforts of my players.
